Separating cultural activities from walking doesn’t mean the walking tours aren’t cultural – they are!
More than anything this separation means that the activities here are, well, less active. These activities are scheduled at random intervals and do not follow the walking tours timetable or pricing, so please check the descriptions, and check this page now and then – groups will usually be quite small and may fill quickly.
Watch for: More craft tours, tastings, museum tours

November 17: Who’s Who in the Spanish Royal Family – 1 (Spanish Hapsburgs). History tour in the Prado Museum – sort out the Carlos and the Felipes of this dynasty, learn how the Hapsburgs came to Spain, who was nice and who was naughty and why the dynasty ended. Lots of Velazquez. This tour gives you information to understand your stay in Spain, and is way more interesting than reading a book. If you think you don’t like or understand history you are in for a big treat; once you’ve done this one you will be anxious to do Who’s Who 2 (Bourbons), probably coming in January. Minimum 17, maximum 20 people. Last day for signup and payment: October 27 (must be pre-paid). Price: 31 euros / person for guided tour with electronic earphones and museum entrance fee.
(probably January 2016, date to be confirmed end of Nov) Who’s Who in the Spanish Royal Family – 2 (Spanish Bourbons). History tour in the Prado Museum. This dynasty has the best and the worst kings in Spanish history – come learn who was who, and learn how a woman came to sit on the Spanish throne. Lots of Goya, and lots of fun. Continuation of Who’s Who – 1 (though the two tours can be done separately), these tours will enrich your stay in Spain. Minimum 17, maximum 20 people. Price: 31 euros / person for guided tour with electronic earphones and museum entrance fee.
